About the Proper Nutrition of Schoolchildren

About the Proper Nutrition of Schoolchildren
A modern schoolboy is not the same child who was 10-20 years ago. Today, the rhythm of life has put in tough conditions not only for us adults, but also for our children, and therefore parents/grandparents must put a lot of effort into their health. And here there are two main components — a healthy diet and psychological comfort in the life of every child. This article details the first paragraph. What should be the nutrition of a modern child of school years?
  • Here, of course, it is important to distinguish age categories. That is, children of primary school age, middle and high school students. Everyone has their own needs. But in general, any food must meet the following criteria:
1. Proper drinking regimeProper drinking regime We teach ourselves to drink and often forget about children. A brief story from life: the child constantly complained of a headache in the afternoon. The examination showed nothing. When studying nutrition, keeping a food diary found out that the boy does not drink water. Never at all. At the same time, he is quite well fed, active and lives in a prosperous family.  Six months later, after making a right water regime the headaches went completely without a trace.

Now the child drinks his 1.5 liters of water, and feels great! This is just a short example. Notice how much your child drinks? Does he take water to school? Does he drink after school? Or is his whole drinking diet made up of morning tea and soda in the afternoon?

2. Breakfast
I know that there are parents who do not eat themselves in the morning and do not feed their children. Such a child does not want to eat in the morning! And only by 11 o'clock goes to school and eats chocolate or cake. Why did your parents feed your child for hours after birth, afraid to miss at least one meal, and by the age of 6-7 you forgot that it was still the same child, and he still needs food in the morning?

Without accusing the child to have breakfast, or rather teaching him to do it, you doom him to gastritis, diseases of the gallbladder and pancreas, weight gain and other ailments.

For breakfast, the schoolboy should be given proteins, fats and carbohydrates: sandwiches with meat, fish of fatty varieties, a piece of cheese, vegetables; pancakes with cottage cheese; cheesecakes/dumplings with yogurt or sour cream; omelet with green peas and a piece of bread; porridge with yogurt and berries/fruit, etc.

There is always a choice! If your child has breakfast at school, you should still feed him something in the morning! Because breakfast at school will be after 1-2 lessons, and it is already 2.5-3 hours after the rise!
Prohibited: sausage, pastries with cream, candy, sodas, chips.

3. Explain to your child what to eat for a snack
Let's give him food from home. The baby's not listening? Show him your own example of what you eat! My daughter won't go to buy a chocolate bar because I never do it, my father never does, and I've told her thousands of times what's good and what's not. Snack: sandwich — make hot, baked with cheese, wrap in foil and put in a lunch box.

4. Lunch at home or at school
It's simple here: feed what you eat yourself. Eating harmful? Don't require your child to eat soup! Just your own example.
What's best to eat for lunch: first course; meat/fish dish and garnish; at least a couple of vegetables — which the child loves. Lunch should be quite dense. If the child asks for sweets, then convince him to come for candy in 30-40 minutes after lunch. Leave at home those sweets that are less harmful: pastille, marshmallows, marmalade, homemade sweets.

5. Noon at home
If the child is at home, you can offer cottage cheese. Children love cottage cheese with jam, drinks such as cocoa with some homemade cookies. If it's a teenage boy, offer him meat with a garnish. Many boys in the stage of active growth are ready to eat the first, second and third 3-5 times a day. And let him eat! Let him eat useful food to miss outside chips, chocolates, and fast food!

6. Dinner for children is different from that of their mothers
Dinner for childrenWe have protein and vegetables, and children also have a few complex carbohydrates (portion depends on age and activity, gender, weight).

Dear women, investing in the child strength, you get dividends in the form of joy and happiness that children are healthy, active and do not repeat your mistakes! Suffering from excess weight? Do not doom your daughter or son to it, because you perfectly understand how much joys take away the extra pounds.

If you have children, it is only for the sake of their future today you need to take on yourself and change the food! You can persuade the child not to eat sweets, not to overeat and not to miss all the foray, but if you do it yourself, then all the conversations are useless!
